CAVNET is a tax-exempt nonprofit based in Washington, DC. The Executive Director is former Special Counsel to the Violence Against Women Office. CAVNET has developed an international network of professionals addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, incest, stalking, crime victims with disabilities, and human rights, among other issues, bringing together a diverse community which includes law enforcement, judges, clergy, lawyers, social workers, domestic violence shelters, rape crisis centers, disability advocates, human rights advocates, and hundreds of others. A recipient of a Ms. Foundation Safety Program grant, CAVNET has brought together over 1,000 individuals and organizations who use CAVNET to network with one another and to develop and share information and resources, across disciplines.
